Strength & Performance Training · North York
Train with intent.
Perform with capacity.
Individualized coaching built around assessment, exercise technique, progressive strength development, injury history, and performance goals. Designed for adults who want to become stronger, return to training confidently, or improve athletic performance.
More than a workout
Performance begins
with a decision.
Effective training identifies which physical qualities matter most, how they fit your sport or life, and what can be progressed without wasting recovery. The program should make priorities clearer, not simply make every session harder.
Steve’s perspective includes CSCS® practice, national-level powerlifting experience, high-performance Taekwondo coaching, fitness management, and the education of personal trainers. That background is applied to your needs, not used as a substitute for individualized assessment.

The essentials,
up front.
Unclear programming priorities, stalled strength, inconsistent execution, return-to-performance gaps, and the need to train effectively around work and recovery constraints.
Steve is a CSCS®, two-time national powerlifting champion, former fitness manager, former personal trainer educator, and coach of national sparring champions and world medalists.
A useful starting point
Performance coaching is built for people who…
- Want a program connected to sport, strength, or long-term physical capacity.
- Need expert eyes on technique, loading, exercise selection, and progression.
- Are returning from a setback and need a responsible bridge to higher demands.
- Have limited time and want each training priority to earn its place.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before
you request.
Is this only for competitive athletes?
No. The same principles can serve active professionals and adults who want to be strong, capable, and durable. The performance target simply changes to fit the person.
Do you provide programming outside sessions?
Programming and session notes are included where they are part of the agreed service. The amount of independent work depends on your goals, schedule, and training experience.
Can training work around a previous injury?
Often, but suitability depends on your current presentation and any relevant medical guidance. When a separate rehabilitation or clinical assessment is more appropriate, that is discussed before loading progresses.
Where does training take place?
One-to-one sessions are held at AK Fitness Studio, 44 Prince Andrew Place in North York.
